A New Negotiation: Social Media and Talent Agreements
Social media has affected how attorneys represent actors, writers, directors and producers today. Studios, networks and other financiers are increasingly requiring talent to utilize social media to promote their projects. This session will examine issues surrounding these expanding requirements, whether they are in fact contractual or just "highly encouraged" by the studio or network executives. Also explored will be ways the talent can create win-win situations by promoting projects and simultaneously growing their own social media platforms.
