The Future of Policing
Please note that this session’s room has been changed to Hilton: Salon G.
Over the last four years, policing in our communities has come to the forefront of national discourse. It is a topic that is as nuanced as it is emotional. Across the country there are cities breaking the mold. Leaders are taking steps to find balance between protecting community members, ensuring the safety of officers, preventing and investigating crime, addressing acts of violence committed by police, and confronting the issues of race and inequity. This is a challenging and difficult, but necessary task for local leaders, police chiefs, and members of the community. Join the conversation with elected leaders and police chiefs to discuss their experiences dealing with policing.
