Fighting Blindness with Tech Innovation and Access
Millions of people go blind every year because they can't get access to the care they need. There are 285 million blind or visually impaired people in the world; four in five of them suffer from conditions that are preventable or curable. Our session curates key players in the eye health, MedTech and social impact spaces to discuss how we can fight avoidable blindness with the intersection of tech innovation and healthcare. We will feature a video & discussion of the world’s only Flying Eye Hospital to show how creativity and passion can combine with science and technology to invent new ways to fight blindness. Audience members will leave feeling inspired by the ideas introduced.
