Turning Data into Shareable Stories

Mar 13, 2017

11:00am – 12:00pm CT

For-profits and non-profits are collecting more data than ever. These numbers tell their mission's story: what they are doing, why they are doing it, how it’s working. While data can be used to inform decisions and measure impact, it can also be a powerful story-telling tool. When done well, using facts and numbers can both inspire and explain. This panel will explore how to look at the information you have access to, recognize the story within it, and understand how to turn it into visual engaging material that people will feel inclined to share. A good data-driven story can cut to the core of what can otherwise be overwhelming social, cultural and political issues.
