Virtual Reality: The Next News Experience

Date TBA

How can virtual reality technology change the way stories are told and experienced? Projections claim that by 2020, 70 percent of the world's population will be using smartphones. In 2016, new technologies are already giving journalists dramatically new ways to tell stories. Virtual Reality is emerging as one of the biggest technology trends today. VR technology and 360 video offer a completely different way to make viewers feel they are on the scene – immersing them into the middle of new and different environments to explore new realities. In this session, VR journalists will launch a conversation covering the latest advances in immersive journalism.
