Humans, Robots + Microbes: The Challenge of Mars
Getting to Mars and thriving there will take a lot of technology and a community of ideas. Humanoid robots that can work side-by-side with astronauts. Lab-created organs that could mitigate the health risks for humans in deep space. Microbes that can enhance off-Earth life support systems. Many of these innovations have deep roots in science fiction, and now have the potential to become science reality. NASA technology experts and Hollywood come together to discuss how dreams can go from screen to space.
