A warming of relations between the U.S. and Cuba has led to an unprecedented level of dialogue. Much of the conversation has centered around tourism, but there’s a deeper opportunity to connect with a new wave of Cuban entrepreneurs solving uniquely Cuban problems. As part of diplomatic trip with the Aspen Institute and the Richardson Center, a group of U.S. entrepreneurs met with Cuban startups to get a better sense of their challenges. Common themes emerged: lack of connectivity, business training, and mentorship.
From there, Incúbate, an innovation program to support the needs of Cuban startups, was born. This panel will share insights from the first three Incúbate workshops.
