Reggae Revival is a movement inspired by the resurgence of spiritual and conscious music in Jamaica's reggae music. Despite its emerging popularity, the movement still only occupies a niche and faces barriers to entry onto the larger U.S.-dominated music scene. We will discuss the future of the movement and its (untapped) potential to impact the global music landscape, as well the importance of understanding the roles culture, religion, social media and technology play in it. The panel will include key influencers who will help us better understand the movement and also identify the ways in which Reggae Revival can inspire consciousness in other genres of music and engender social change.
