How will live sports tackle cord cutters? This panel explores the future of live sports distribution and discuss the challenges sports teams, leagues and networks face with the growing trend of cord-cutting and the future of sports distribution. Topics include the role that tech companies, like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Amazon and Google, will play; the hurdles presented by long-standing contracts between the network/league/MSO triumvirate; cable channel history repeating itself as syndication is part of the solution; focus on the millennial generation, and their media consumption habits; as well as the globalization of sports.
