This panel explores the future of live sports distribution and discuss the challenges sports teams, leagues and networks face with the growing trend of cord-cutting and the future of sports distribution. Topics include the role that tech companies, like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Amazon and Google, will play; the hurdles presented by long-standing contracts between the network/league/MSO triumvirate; cable channel history repeating itself as syndication is part of the solution; focus on the millennial generation, and their media consumption habits; as well as the globalization of sports.
