Engineered Collisions Between Games and News

Date TBA

What happens when you bring adaptive, creative, high energy, game-fluent people to solve the biggest problems in media and news? How can game design thinking address the issue of sustained engagement? Based on the concept of engineered collisions, this session brings together game design veterans, reporters and media professionals to problem solve some of the most complex problems plaguing news and community management. In this session, they share some of the products they developed and provide a punch list of practicable strategies for improving engagement in news and social media. The panel consists of a game designer, clinical psychologist, comic artist/entrepreneur and TV editor.
