Cherisse Datu
Cherisse Datu is a Filipina-American triple threat: a designer, editor, and game developer. She is currently working on her Master's Degree in Game Design as one of three inaugural fellows at American University’s JoLT (Journalism Leadership Transformation) Initiative.
From speaking at the 2016 Game Developers Conference to the 2016 Global Editor’s Network (GEN) Summit, she has spent the last year investigating the relationship between journalism and game design. Previously, she was lead video editor with Al Jazeera’s award-winning television show The Stream , which garnered a 2012 Emmy Nomination for New Approaches to News & Documentary Programming, a 2013 Gracies Award for Outstanding News Talk Show, and most recently, a 2014 Webby People's Voice Award for News and Politics: Series.
She’s currently an Interactive Media Producer with ESPN’s The Undefeated
