Invested Development: We Do What Labels Don't
For generations music publishers have signed artists to writer development deals. In recent years, these deals have…developed. Artists these days attend songwriting camps where they can freely collaborate with other writers and develop songs custom designed for bigger recording artists. Rough scratch demos have been replaced with radio-ready masters that can now be released independently and synched to films, advertisements, and television shows. In this panel we will discuss the state of the modern development deal with three gifted creative professionals.
