Film is the New Black

Never before have filmmakers had access to such a wide-range of cinematic tools. The countless digital capture options, when countered with the classic 16mm/35mm film preferences, make the choices for cinematographers very challenging. Yet, despite this ever-growing access to digital tools, many filmmakers still elect to shoot their projects on motion picture film.
From "The Walking Dead" to "Star Wars" to "Hidden Figures" and many more, veterans and newcomers to the industry prefer the look and depth and feel offered by the medium. This panel discussion will explore the art and advantages of shooting film and the flexibilities afforded by doing so.
