Designing for Health in Hospitals, Cities & Homes

Mar 12, 2017

9:00am – 6:00pm CT

How will the role of the physician evolve and adapt to the 21st century? Technological progress across disciplines has meant that the use of artificial intelligence, natural language processing, machine learning, synthetic biology and robotics are already revolutionizing healthcare and the practice of medicine. Doctors will need to adapt quickly to these emerging technologies and apply creative problem solving to face the health challenges of future generations.

In this pop up exhibit, attendees will be able to interact with 3D printed artifacts designed by medical students and clinicians who are leveraging additive manufacturing to rapidly prototype solutions for their patients. Health and wellbeing is determined by where people work, live and play--there will also be a designed landscape by Terreform ONE that showcases how an urbaneering project might improve the health of future cities. This year, JeffDESIGN has partnered with 10XBeta and Ultimaker, who will showcase their latest models of desktop 3D printers.
