Dead Neighbors at The Sidewinder Inside
Dead Neighbors is an alternative rock band formed in a basement in Georgia during the summer of 2013. Since their inception they've struck a chord with anyone who still values unbridled experimentation and creativity in modern-day rock music. Before releasing any material officially, Dead Neighbors gained a reputation as an energetic and exceptionally entertaining live band. Their songs range from slow and surf-tinged jams to full on aggressive scream-along punk tunes. They quickly gained attention in the Southeastern college radio scene. It wasn't long into their career that Dead Neighbors began drawing crowds at historic venues like the 40 Watt Club and the Caledonia Lounge. Their self titled first album was released in June of 2015 and was immediately met with a great amount of local buzz. The album is a lo-fi, fuzzed out guitar record that calls to mind the records that defined Athens' college music scene in the late 80s through the mid 90s. The record has since been reviewed by Tinymixtapes, Immersive Atlanta, and several other online publications. Dead Neighbors was ranked at #6 on Flagpole Magazine's top ten albums of 2015.
