Though they're both originally from Kansas, Chrissy & Hawley met in Chicago, and began working together on a debut album that unites their very different individual styles: emotional dance music with catchy melodies and thoughtful lyrics in the tradition of Yazoo, Pet Shop Boys, Arthur Russell, Kid Creole & The Coconuts, Larry Levan, and Patrick Cowley.
"If Bobby Orlando and Giorgio Moroder had a love child, it wouldn't have quite the clever swagger as this record. Drawn from a deep encyclopedic knowledge of dance music, it still feels unpretentiously fresh, new, and above all, FUN" - Prince Rama
"Some of the most earnest and charming pop music I've heard in years." - Avalon Emerson
"Lose yourself in the bubbly pop dance fun but pay attention to the fine print. This is a magnificent debut from this duo that doesn't skimp on fun or flawless execution." - The Black Madonna
