A renewed Chilean band that through its outstanding artistic quality, manages to refresh the language of rock & roll and bring it to this new era, with an electrifying and powerful live show.
Originally from Valparaíso and with more than four years of life, Humboldt is formed by Christian Silva, Diego and Sebastián Álvarez and Simón Cárcamo, who in short term have been able to harvest a prolific and ascendant career, becoming one of the most powerful Chilean music proposals in the last time.
At the end of 2012 the band released their first EP "Humboldt", which managed to capture the attention of the specialized press inside and outside of Chile getting a very good reception by the public and the local circuit.
During the next few years the band settled in the new offsprings of Chilean music bands, allowing its participation in a series of festivals inside and outside the country, arriving in 2014 to concretize its inclusion at the festival SXSW in Austin, Texas. This experience was recorded by the members of the band and published in a micro-documentary format, which would mark the beginning of the creation of a parallel audiovisual collective project of the band (Colectivo Doble A), including the publications of their own video clips and also from other music bands.
The ascending success of the group would bring the production of their first LP album of the band: "Gigantes". This record would set a precedent and consolidate Humboldt's proposal with a massive reception of the public and excellent reviews by the specialized press.
"Gigantes" has been recently published during 2016 and has ten tracks that make possible to reformulate the sound of 60s rock 'n' roll and bring it to these days as a fresh and powerful musical proposal, with singles like "Desaparecer" and "Extraños". This disc is available on all streaming platforms, in addition to its free download through wwww.humboldtbanda.cl
Humboldt is currently touring with the show "Gigantes" confirming dates in Chile as well as in Mexico and USA during this 2017.
