ARCO is the new project of the Spanish musician Antonio Arco, the former leading man in El Puchero del Hortelano. The band which toured around Latin America, Canada and Europe for over a decade split in 2015.
ARCO falls within the new generation of urban musicians half way between the pop and folk. Their first album “Uno” (Warner Music 2016) reached No8 in the sales charts shortly after release in Spain and it has been recognised as one of the best 2016 albums by music magazines such as Mondo Sonoro and Rocksesión.
ARCO highlight is on its lyrics and explores folk influences that result in a fusion of melodies and textures full of energy. It combines pop-rock band and acoustic duo formats including Spanish guitar, 12 string guitar and stompbox.
Currently ARCO is in the last leg of its first tour with concerts in Spain, Peru, Chile, Argentina and the US.
