Hailing from the balmy surrounds of the Sunshine Coast’s Hinterland, Gabriella Cohen is a revolutionary music maker that creates dreamy, ambling and ethereal songs with an old school ethos. Previously fronthing Brisbane band The Furrs, Cohen is a self-assured and prolific musician and performer.

Gabriella Cohen’s exceptional 2016 debut album Full Closure and No Details is the product of ten days and two microphones. Co-produced alongside close friend, bandmate and engineer Kate ‘Babyshakes’ Dillon, the record is the result of what Cohen describes as the “ceremony” of reflecting on a relationship. Full Closure and No Details was chosen Album of the Week on Australian community radio stations RRR, RTR & Edge FM. The album was well received internationally with 4/4.5 star reviews in Mojo, Uncut, Rolling Stone Australia & The Guardian, as well as being featured in Elle Magazine (US), Rookie Magazine (US) and Brooklyn Vegan (US).

Following the album’s release, Cohen played sold-out shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, toured the UK, and was long listed for the Australian Music Prize. Cohen and her band have supported Albert Hammond Junior (US), HINDS (Spain), War Paint (US), Big Thief (US) and Julia Jacklin (Aus), and have played at multiple Festivals including Fairgrounds, Queenscliff Music Festival, Paradise Festival & Perth Festival. In 2017, Cohen has been announced to play at SXSW (US), The Great Escape (UK), Vida Festival (Spain) and is currently unannounced but booked to play End of The Road Festival (UK).

Cohen is now signed to Captured Tracks (Worldwide excluding Australia & New Zealand) & Dot Dash / Remote Control Records (Australia & New Zealand) and is managed by Our Golden Friend.
