With an IT security and technology background influenced by reading early copies of 2600 Magazine and running a BBS in the 1980's out of his basement at the age of 12, Doug McCrea has an unusual start in the world of modern technology. Currently he serves as Director of Information Technology for multiple divisions at Rutgers University in addition to private technology and security consulting. He has obtained a number of SANS security certifications including a GSEC and GCIA. Doug has over 17 years' professional experience in Higher Education technology management and security. He approaches IT security in unconventional ways focusing on psychology, performance, collaboration and innovation to drive large-scale initiatives.
