The US Department of Transportation’s Smart City Challenge has called on cities around the country to convene entire ecosystems to develop the most innovative, productive use of US DoT dollars. Beyond the final product, this is a first ever effort to engage regional entrepreneur and innovation networks in the allocation of federal improvements. On this panel, the US DoT and leading US mobility innovators explore the genesis, purpose, and potential of the Smart City Challenge.
