Recognized as one of The Guardian’s “50 Women to Watch” and in Dell's 2012 #Inspire100 list as a world changer, Chrysi is a marketing, digital & communications expert. She loves building high profile brands at the intersection of media, culture, brand and technology. Chrysi joined (RED) in 2009 and is their first Chief Digital Officer. Founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver, (RED) helps fight AIDS by partnering with iconic brands such as Apple, Coca-Cola & Starbucks. (RED) has raised over $350 million & the programs (RED) supports have impacted 60 million people. Chrysi has grown (RED)'s social media following to over 5.8 million with (RED) being the first non-profit with over 1 million on both Facebook and Twitter. Chrysi has created never been done before marketing and digital moments with Apple, Snapchat, Nike and many more. Working across marketing, communications, media, partnerships and digital Chrysi has helped create and bring to life high profile integrated brand campaigns, including: Apps for (RED) with Apple: 25 fan-favourite apps turned (RED) for 2 weeks in a complete App Store take-over in 155 markets. Raised $3MM with Snapchat: (RED) partnered with Snapchat on their first ever global filter for a non-profit. Collaborating with Tiesto, Jared Leto and Jimmy Kimmel, the (RED) filters were available for only 24 hours and the Gates Foundation donated every time a filter was used up to $3MM. We reached our goal by 12.30pm ET. Super Bowl: Led (RED)'s digital efforts to help raise over $3MM in 36 hours from downloads on of U2's 'Invisible' on iTunes during the Super Bowl. Turned Twitter (RED) - literally: In partnership with Nike, every time #red was used one World AIDS Day it turned the colour of your tweet red. Over half a million tweets turned red and (RED) had Twitter's most re-tweeted tweet at that time. Set a Foursquare record in 2012: for the most amount of money raised from check-ins on Foursquare with Starbucks. DANCE (RED) SAVE LIVES: co-ordinated (RED)'s EDM campaign that brings the world's biggest dance artists and DJs together with the album reaching No. 1 in over 40 countries. 'The Beginning of the End of AIDS Starts With You' event: drove digital media for this event that featured President Obama, President George W Bush, President Clinton, President Kikwete, Bono, Elton John & Alicia Keys, resulting in 4 million YouTube views & YouTube's logo changing to support World AIDS Day. Chrysi has an entrepreneurial approach to marketing. In 2000 she helped start Espotting, Europe's first search marketing network, as a founding member and VP Global Marketing & Communications. Chrysi helped grow Espotting to 250 people across 8 markets before selling the company for around $200 million. She then became the Managing Director NY and board director of Steak, a digital agency that sold to Dentsu in 2011. Prior to being part of web 1.0, Chrysi worked at WCRS, a leading advertising agency in London. Chrysi holds a BA (Hons) in Economics and Politics, an MBA from the University of London and has taken courses in Human Rights at Columbia. In 2005 Chrysi was awarded the Fulbright Scholarship. Chrysi is an advisor to School of Doodle, an online school for teen girls to empower them to be badasses, and WIE - Women: Inspire Enterprise. She was also an advisor to Doug Aitkin's Station to Station - a train that crossed America creating art and music from artists including Giorgio Moroder, Beck and Cat Powers.
