violence. It took a long time for me to get the old neighborhood out of my system, even after we
moved to Phoenix. All I knew was the street hustle". Vee had numerous bouts with the law as a
juvenile. His delinquency came to a head when he was arrested as an adult for drug dealing at
the age of 19. That was the day of reckoning for Vee. He had a choice of doing serious prison
time, or get out of the drug game for good. Vee chose the latter, and pledged to put his heart and
soul into his first love, making music. "I started creating songs in a cardboard box, and later,
a closet at a friend's house, before I ever knew what a recording studio looked like. I'll
always remember where I came from, and what it took to get me to where I am today. Hip
Hop saved my life."
