Los Angeles-born & Dallas-raised, the experimental producer and cultivating lyricist, Blue, The Misfit, began his musical voyage in 2004. He is most known for his extensive production work at Top Dawg Entertainment, where under his former moniker “King Blue”, he produced popular tracks for every artist on the label, including Kendrick Lamar’s “P&P”, as well as Schoolboy Q’s “To The Beat” and Ab-Soul’s “Mixed Emotions” among others.
As an artist, Blue first released an EP in 2011 titled 'Numb' which introduced his dark and imaginative style of music making to a wide audience while also receiving critical acclaim from the Dallas music scene and beyond. 2016 is proving to be the biggest year yet for Blue, The Misfit as he readies the release of his new album 'Perfect Night...For A Funeral'. The album is Blue's most ambitious work to date as he explores his rock influences even deeper on the project. Working with respected, Grammy-Award winning musicians like Jordan Richardson and Sarah Jaffe throughout the album has allowed Blue to bring to life the music he has always wanted to make. You can hear it for yourself when 'Perfect Night...For A Funeral' is released this Summer.
