Wildcat Apollo, formed in Brooklyn in 2012 and now based in Austin, TX, delves into psychedelic rock, electronic, shoegaze, dance and pop music to create their eclectic and infectious sound. Members Cat Tassini (vocals, keyboards), Taylor Eichenseer (vocals, guitar), Aaron Eichenseer (bass), and Alex Margolin (drums) pull from a wide range of artistic influences, exploring and creating music in a truly collaborative group environment. They recorded their self-titled debut album at The Bubble in 2013. It features distorted guitars, triumphant vocals, airy synths, and pounding rhythms. The band has already tasted success: they were awarded the John Lennon Songwriting Contest’s 2013 Grand Prize for the Rock category, were invited on the Vans Warped Tour 2014, and were featured in Austin Monthly’s 10 Bands to Watch 2015 and on KUTX’s Austin Music Minute. Wildcat Apollo is thrilled to be releasing their sophomore album Melt into the Ocean in February of 2016, featuring the just released singles "Kaleidoscopic" and "Red Roses."
