His last 2 albums placed on the Billboard charts in the Gospel & Heatseekers categories. He has made guest appearances on songs with Tedashii, Flame & Sho Baraka. His most popular song, Air Jordan, became & still is the most remixed song in Christian Hip Hop history.
Born Anthony Regis Jones, opposition presented itself early in his life. His father struggled with a drug addiction throughout Regis’ childhood. Some of the after effects of Regis’ father’s addiction was Regis being enrolled in 5 different school in the span of 7 years. Regis oftentimes felt alone & neglected, resulting in Regis doing whatever he could, good or bad, to get the affirmation of his peers. In Regis’ 8th grade year, he changed his life by making Jesus his Lord & Savior at a funeral. His former classmate, Marquez Patterson, died of a heart failure at the age of 13. Post salvation, Regis was inspired to do Christian Rap by another rapper he saw perform at a Victory Outreach G.A.N.G. youth retreat in Pennsylvania despite never rapping before.
Gaining confidence for his songs from his peers, K-Drama kicked recording songs & performing into high gear. He would save his lunch money so he could pay for studio time. K-Drama spent many weekends performing for free at churches, talent shows, festivals & wherever he could share his talent & the Gospel. Through this work ethic & God’s favor, K-Drama developed a buzz for his growing discography, grabbing the attention of Holy Hip Hop Music. The powerhouse record label gave K-Drama his 1st recording contract through EMI Gospel that would help catapult his career to new heights.
His 5th album, BoomBaptism, escalated his brand to yet another level. In addition to “Air Jordan" being the most remixed song in Christian Hip Hop history, the aforementioned song was also featured on various websites including 23isback.com, 1 of the most popular websites for Michael Jordan shoe release dates.
After K-Drama’s stint with Cross Movement Records, he independently released Winds & .Waves in 2013, which landed on various Billboard charts despite not having any record label support. His tour schedule remained steady, traveling the US & even performed internationally in London, England. K-Drama owns & operates a recording studio that services many artist in Christian Hip Hop across the nation. With a an ever-expanding fanbase, K-Drama is optimistic about the release of this project.
Regis is a proud husband & father of 3 children. They are active in their home church, desiring the world to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. K-Drama’s desire is to someday be able to volunteer his time & talents at prisons, schools & other non-profit organizations on a weekly basis that many will feel God’s love.
