Rusty Maples

Crowned "Best Live Band" by Las Vegas Weekly, NPR Desert Companion's "Best Band that might actually make it" and returning to SxSW for their second time, Rusty Maples are a stage-stomping and heartbreak howling indie band quickly on the rise.
Born, bred and molded in the Las Vegas desert, brothers Blair (lead vocals/guitar) and Ian Dewane (lead guitar) joined up with Vegas-native songwriter Mike Weller on bass and local percussionist Mike McGuinness in 2012 to create a sound all their own: colossal rhythms, gut-punch lyrical falsetto, and ocean-deep guitars; having since toured with Chuck Ragan, Sixto "Sugar Man" Rodriguez and opening for bands like Deerhunter, The Ataris, Bleachers, Built to Spill and Noel Gallagher.
Rusty Maples last EP, "The Western World" was produced by Minus the Bear's Alex Rose and was featured in ABC's Nashville, Showtime's Shameless and Spike TV's Bar Rescue. Currently the band is working on their first LP recording it at the world famous Sonic Ranch studios in El Paso, Texas.
