At the 2015 JUNO Awards in Hamilton, Ontario, Arkells won ‘Rock Album of the Year’ for High Noon and ‘Group of the Year’ and did a unique performance of “Come to the Light” accompanied by Boris Brott and the National Academy Orchestra of Canada. Arkells have since been named the most played band on Alternative radio in Canada for 2015.
The band closed out the year recording a new record, due to be released in Summer 2016. In many ways, Arkells have thus far had a charmed run, but at the same time they've never been hungrier for more as they plot where this next album will take them.
Banner festival appearance slots to be announced in the coming weeks, with a relentless touring schedule to follow.
Arkells have shared the stage and toured with acts such as Alabama Shakes, The War on Drugs, Metric, The Tragically Hip, Anti-Flag and The Black Crowes.
