El Bles is a third-generation musician from Puerto Rico who relocated to the U.S. at 18 years old to pursue a musical career. Inspired at a young age by Latin Music greats such as Tito Puente, Ismael Rivera, and Ray Barretto, Bles' latin-influenced, vintage, heavy-percussive signature sound is also a result of being raised in a household of musicians - his father is a pianist and a violin guru with a catalogue in early latin salsa music, his mother a former singer and currently a music teacher of over 25 years. 'El Bendecido' made his production debut in 2004 producing several tracks for the late Puerto Rican rapper Mexicano 777 whose music he idolized as a teenager. He released his debut instrumental project titled "BlesTruMentals" in 2009 and made waves this past summer with the perfectly fused son montuno / hip hop rhythms off the track "La Gente Pide." Soon, its Latin boom-bap blend successfully crept its way into Florida radio waves.
A percussionist at heart, Bles has since stepped out from behind the console and out in front of stage to also serve as conguero / live beatsmith to his newly formed Latin Soul band LGP (La Gente Pide). He is currently working on a follow up instrumental EP called "I Am Latin Soul" which will be out in Spring 2016. The EP is heavily inspired by Ray Barretto's Latin Soul crossover record from 1968, "Acid."
