Average in height but massive on stage, the highly skilled trio of Beni J, Halfcut and DJ C-SIK are known collectively as the Humble Giants. Inspired by the likes of a Tribe Called Quest, Slum Village, Pac Div and The Beat Junkies, they illuminate a sound that can be described as no less than soulfully futuristic boom bap. Beni J, known as the crew's candid performer and versatile party hype man - also moonlights as his city's most influential hiphop community builder. Halfcut, on the other hand is the story-telling rapper's rapper - becoming his city’s people’s champ on the mic through mixtapes (such as: “From Dungeons to Rooftops”) that have been regarded as some of the best rap music to come out of Calgary.
