SILVASTONE is a fast-rising London-based African artist/producer renowned in the UK music scene and has an equally extensive international recording profile especially across Africa. Generally referred to as an ‘Afrobeats/Afropop’ artist SILVASTONE’s music is best described as a creative hybrid of African beats, UK sounds and Global melodies.
In late 2014 he released the excellent self-produced and self-written ‘TRANSITIONS’ EP to great acclaim garnering immediate support from influential and notable tastemakers across the board like Mistajam, Zane Lowe, DJ Edu, DJ Target, etc. His music is on regular rotation on numerous radio and TV networks worldwide and especially Africa - Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Jamaica, South Africa, Gambia, Tanzania being examples of where he has repeatedly undertaken radio interviews over the last 12 months.

He went on to be nominated as "Best African Act 2015" in 3 separate popular UK awards - MOBO, UMA plus BEFFTA and a further 4 additional African awards in recognition of his high work ethic, quality content and live performances. He has featured on various TV shows and is also currently starring on a popular reality music series 'CokeStudioAFRICA' alongside some of the continent’s biggest stars that broadcasts prime-time across Africa and online to the world. In addition SILVASTONE - a very capable mix DJ too, hosts a monthly African Music show on Air Emirates in-flight entertainment channel.
Born in London to Sierra Leone/Ghana parentage the West African native has previously produced and/or collaborated with a diverse array of the hottest new talent from across Africa and worldwide including Rita Ora, Ace Hood, Sarkodie, D’banj, Davido, Mark Morrison, Estelle, Dan Croll, Emmanuel Jal, Afrojack, 2Face, Damian Marley, etc. He has composed music featured in various movie soundtracks and films including recently "The Good Lie" starring Academy winner Reese Witherspoon. His breakthrough and heavily playlisted 2015 single “Loving My Baby (Remix)” features Nigerian Afro-pop sensation Yemi Alade and its follow-up “Skatta (Remix)” features legendary Jamaican global dancehall stars, Chaka Demus and Pliers. He is presently promoting his scorching single "My Place" which features one of the UKs hottest urban artists, Sneakbo. SILVASTONE is also featured on a current Virgin/EMI Records single featuring US rap star Ace Hood and popular Manchester rapper Bugzy Malone.
Now a seasoned performer beloved for his charismatic energetic performances SILVASTONE recently featured on the line-up of the biggest Afrobeats concert in London headlined by Akon, Mafikizolo and Yemi Alade at the world famous Wembley SSE Arena in August 2015. Earlier in the year he supported African superstars P-Square, Flavour, Shatta Wale, Awilo Longomba at the same legendary venue. SILVASTONE featured on the line-up of nearly every major Afrobeats event in the UK in 2015 and was booked on several UK festivals last summer including the world famous Glastonbury Festival. Throughout the year he also performed at numerous events and festivals across the world including concerts in Sweden, Kenya, Nigeria and most recently at the Shoko Festival in Zimbabwe. Silvastone was an opening act on Afrobeats superstar Davido's 2015 UK tour and in November was official support act for Fuse ODG on his sold-out 8-date UK national arena tour. 2015 proved a sentinel year for SILVASTONE and he shows no sign of slowing down in 2016. He started the year supporting good friends The Compozers at their recent sold-out headline gig at the 3000 capacity O2 Forum, London. Further bookings for the new year are busy coming in and he has recently been booked to support another major international act on a yet unannounced UK tour as he anticipates his pending performance at SXSW in Austin, Texas in March 2016 the first of 4 confirmed international shows he is presently preparing for.
