Shakka is a British alternative hip hop & rnb singer who burst onto the scene in 2011 with The Shakka Crown Affair, a mixtape which paid homage to some of the artists who influence his music the most. Following the success of this, Shakka created an online youtube series aptly titled 'Shakkapellas' where he covered popular songs by beatboxing each layer of the track as well as putting his own Shakka spin on the song. This series attracted millions of views and gained him fans from around the world.
Since then Shakka has gone on to feature on Wretch 32's single 'Blackout' which charted at #6 in the UK singles chart in 2013, release an EP entitled 'Tribe' in 2013, perform at Glastonbury and tour the world for 3 years with the legendary production duo Basement Jaxx as their male vocalist.

Frisco (BBK), an unofficial remix of the Ten Walls hit. It attracted over 500,000 plays on soundcloud and was supported by Radio 1 & 1xtra in the UK.
In March 2015, Shakka sold out Islington O2 Academy and then a few months later signed a record deal with Pitched Up, a small label. He released his first single Say Nada feat. JME (BBK) in October and his new EP The Lost Boys was released on 6th November. Say Nada was a successful song at radio and made the Shazam and national music charts.
Shakka also won a MOBO award for Best R’n’B/Soul act in 2015 and performed at the awards show on 4th November which was televised live nationally.
