Oakland natives, SMSHNG HRTS (Smashing Hearts) are an innovative, groundbreaking band with a unique musical dimension and style. The group is comprised of 17-year-old Jaden on bass, 17-year-old Martin on drums, and 19-year-old Dylan as lead singer, guitarist and pianist. Classically trained, the band creates beauty from experimentation, delivering smooth slow jams with a tinge of rock and R&B.

“The sound is a mix of other genres. We call it ‘So Cosmic,’ says Dylan. “That’s the name of the EP, but that’s also the name of the genre we define our music as. It’s just a blend. It’s not an R&B thing, It’s not a pop thing, It’s a world-wide sound.”
