Most will say that a musical talent is something you were born with. That talent evolves with age and as you grow, you embrace your talent more and more. This is exactly how Khai, became the musician he is today. As a young kid, his supportive family from Jefferson City, Missouri saw his talents and encouraged it as much as they could. By High School, Khai was writing lyrics and singing in a local Indie band. Upon graduating high school, Khai moved to Austin, Texas where he met fellow musicians Bronze Whale, who provided him with his first project and also helped him evolve even more into his talents. Khai's collaboration with Bronze Whale “Love to Feel” was released on their War of Art EP via Octal Sound. The song landed at #1 on Hype Machine’s popular chart. Khai's first single was also featured on Majestic Casual's YouTube page with 2 million+ subscribers. The video has received over 800k views. Khai's debut EP "If You" recently released on Octal Sound, the same label who released his collaboration with Bronze Whale. "If You" was premiered by NEST HQ and featured 3 new songs, including "Take", a collaboration with singer CYN. "Take" received support from Jaden Smith on his Beats1 show "MSFTS Frequency."
In December of 2015, The Huffington Post included Khai in their "2015 Recommendations for Every Type of Pop Culture Fan."
