An artist from Abreu e Lima, Pernambuco, 32 years old, he started in the world of music at a very young age, accompanying his relatives who were professional musicians in concerts of his father Miudinho and his aunt Val Andrade in Recife and other Pernambuco cities. In touch with true Brazilian Popular Music, he grew up listening to albums of great Brazilian artists such as Joao Bosco, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, among others.Based in sao Paulo , in 2003, he founded Patua Tronxo band, a group that explored Brazilian sonorities in odd measures, with his musical partner Jesse Santo. They recorded the album Patua Tronxo #1, in (2004), and played gigs in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.In 2004, he met Jair Oliveira, and over the years he has recorded with this artist the following albums: Simples (2006), which he has also arranged, and Sambazz (2010); and also the DVDs: Simples Ao Vivo (2007) and Jair 30 Anos (2014). He toured with Sambazz over the USA, from 2008 to 2010, and did many shows all over Brazil. Through Jair Oliveira, he played many times with Jair Rodrigues, Luciano Mello and Pedro Mariano.In 2006, he joined Grooveria Eletroacustica, a band founded by Tutu Ferraz, working with them for 4 years. With Grooveria he took residence at Na Mata Café and Bleecker St. and recorded the first DVD and the second album, Avenida Brasil, of 2009, distributed by Universal Music.In 2007, he toured through Syria with a band of musicians from many places in the world, hosted in Amsterdam and called ChoraMundo, which plays Brazilian music.In 2009 Jota Erre produced the CD “Esse” of Jessé Santo, and played the drums. Cohesion and coherence explain the profusion of creativity and compositions of this partnership.In October 2012 he launched his authorial project “Por Extenso” in Belo Horizonte.In April/2013 in São Paulo and in March/2014 in Rio de Janeiro.Jota Erre has just arrived from an European tour of “Por Extenso”, with shows in England, Portugal, Spain, besides jams with dear artists who presented him with musical trips, potential partnerships and new musical experiences.
