Build IoT: Making Music on a Microcontroller
Ever thought of building your own electronic drum kit? Look no further! In this two hour follow-along workshop we'll take a microcontroller and some sensors, and start generating some music. We'll take an ARM mbed enabled developer board, and show how you can program it. Then we'll create a tone generator, and make some sounds. But we won't stop there... We'll look at how we can connect our kit to the internet, and store our drum sequences in the cloud. Throw in some pads with tactile feedback and we can start jamming!
Besides learning a lot about music and wave forms, this session will prepare you for building any device that connects to the Internet of Things (IoT).
