Omara "Bombino" Moctar is an internationally acclaimed Tuareg guitarist and singer-songwriter from Agadez, Niger. His signature desert rock frequently addresses Tuareg geopolitical concerns and is sung in the Tuareg language of Tamasheq. Bombino was the subject of the 2010 documentary film "Agadez, the Music and the Rebellion" directed by Ron Wyman. His last album, "Nomad," was produced by Dan Auerbach and debuted at #1 on the iTunes World Chart, while his new album drops in 2016 on Partisan Records with production from David Longstreth of The Dirty Projectors.
