Known for her distinct voice and reggae-inspired guitar technique, the Austin native's music has been described as "a unique sound equal parts Beat poetry, smoky soul grooves and indie-pop eccentricity...think Feist meets Erykah Badu." (Jim DeRogatis). Choffel feels equally at home singing in a dimly lit, smoky club as she does front and center in front of (literally) millions. Credit her musical upbringing: with a name inspired by Leonard Cohen's Suzanne, she was steeped in her parents 70s LP collection and grew up cultivating an interest in pop, soul, jazz, reggae and more. Choffel began performing in clubs around Austin at the age of 13 and never stopped.

Now with two albums under her belt, a run on NBC's The Voice, a big screen debut in the film Catfish, and two tours in France, the singer-songwriter has recently moved back to Austin from NYC and has a new album due out April 2016. Recorded in Austin at Church House ...
