Born in the delta of Mississippi, Galvin LeDaris McKinney was around six years old when he began to show interest in creating music. He was often found tampering with instruments at the local church his family attended. By age 16, he began dabbling in music production. At this point, he had been playing drums for 10 years and was learning his way around a keyboard.

Fast forward (give or take) 14 years, 2 children, 1 marriage, 0 divorces and several songs later; he can be found in Austin, Texas, answering to the alias of brimLo. On any given weekend you can find him on the legendary Sixth Street as the resident DJ of Bat Bar Austin. The show starts with the bounce of old school-meets-new school, from Hip-Hop Hits to Top 40 sensations. As the energy rises, the drinks keep flowing, the fists start pumping and the raging EDM party erupts.

Aside from the DJ moniker, brimLo is an accomplished music producer and studio engineer. His resumé consists of production and/or engineering credits with much of Austin’s premier talent. He works heavily in Hip-Hop, Gospel, R&B, Traditional Pop and House.
