Parlee began as an acoustic trio and played various shows such as the” Battle of the Bands” at The Key Club, the “Behind Your Eyes” movie release party at the Rolling Stone, “Parlee Live” at Studio City Sound, “Blank Tuesday” at The Airliner, and some other bar gigs as well. A couple of incarnations later, the new Orange County-based band has a revamped sound, labeling themselves as Indie but utilizing the many different genres and sub genres of folk, rock, blues, pop, and jazz. Asking them what kind of music they play would kind of be like someone asking you, “what's your personal journal like?” As the band has come into their own, it’s been a whirlwind. They have played at The Down and Out in downtown LA, The Mint in West LA, and headlined at Saint Rocke in Hermosa Beach, just to name a few.
