Alice Phoebe Lou is a force to be reckoned with. Growing up in Kommitje, South Africa, Alice knew that as soon as she finished school she would pack up her things and see the world. And that's what she did: She packed a bag at the age of 19, went off to Europe in search of adventure, and found her path playing music in the streets of Amsterdam and Berlin.
After settling in the German capital in 2013, she began performing in U-Bahn stations and street corners, and started drawing increasing numbers of listeners every time she played. Today, after less than a year in the city, she is a fixture of Berlin's vibrant street sounds, whether on the famous bridge to Friedrichshain or at the Mauerpark on Sundays. The few shows Alice has played in a clubs have sold out, the latest being at Lido for the release of her first EP.

In April 2014, Alice Phoebe Lou self-released her first EP, titled "Momentum". The product of ten weeks of work with five different producers, it's the first translation of her raw energy onto a recorded body of work. The EP in now sold out having shifted 5000 copies since it's release.
Alice had her first festival appearance at Fusion Festival in June and went on to sell out her first headlining show in July at Berlin's Lido (600cap). Last autumn she played for the first time in London, NYC and LA.
In October Alice embarked on a journey across various cities (Amsterdam, Paris, Istambul, Tel Aviv...) shooting a documentary that explores the boundaries of freedom in our society through the prism of street music.
This past December she released a live album "Live at Grüner Salon" as means to fund the recording of her debut album which is currently being recorded in her native Cape Town together with musician/producer friend Graham Dickson (Crystal Fighters).
The album will be released in Autumn 2015.
