Future Classic, home to the likes of Flume, Chet Faker, Flight Facilities and Jagwar Ma have signed Sydney-based singer/producer George Maple, announcing her debut EP ‘Vacant Space’ and lead single, 'Talk Talk’.
The single was premiered by Annie Mac and has since been playlisted on Rinse FM and triple j in Australia, with ongoing support from Annie Mac and Huw Stephens on Radio 1.
After performing her first Australian shows supporting Swedish outfit Little Dragon, George Maple appeared during Flume’s headline set to 15,000 fans at Listen Out Festival in both Sydney and Melbourne, collaborating live on ‘Talk Talk’ for the first time since working on the track in the studio together.
Based in London for the past two years, George Maple has been working in both live and studio environments with artists including Snakehips, Flume and Flight Facilities.

George Maple travelled to CMJ last October for a run of showcase performances. She then returned to Sydney for headline gigs at the Museum Of Contemporary Art and the Future Classic Xmas Weekender alongside Sophie, QT and Lido.
‘Vacant Space’ EP debuted at #3 on the Australian iTunes Album Chart. The New York Times premiered the official ‘Talk Talk’ music video, and the track will receive three official remixes due in early 2015.
