Malia, who recently won a songwriting contest judged by grammy winning Bob Cheevers, Sara Hickman, and other music business professionals for the songs featured on her upcoming EP, has a musical style that combines vintage soul styles from the 40s, 50s, and 60s with a current edge in a brand new way that is most comparable to the music of Emeli Sande, Adele, Amy Winehouse, Duffy, etc. Malia is currently working on her first EP with producers Matt Noveskey and Johnny Vogelsang in Orb Studios and Church House Studios. The 7-song EP is planned to be released in Spring of 2015.
