Working with acclaimed producer Dave Cobb (Secret Sisters, Jamey Johnson, Waylon Jennings) Lucette wrote and recorded the full-length album, Black is the Color, in under a month. The two have collaborated and worked together since Lucette was 19 years old. One of the first songs written on the album was “Poor Sweet Me” which was a collaboration with country hit-maker and relative of Dave, Brent Cobb who has written songs cut by Eli Young Band, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan and many others.
Lucette has toured across the UK and North America with artists such as The Secret Sisters, Joe Ely and Mason Jennings. Following a recent performance at Nashville's Exit/In 43rd Anniversary Show alongside Jim Lauderdale and Nikki Lane, Lucette's fall 2014 plans include dates with Mason Jennings and Sturgill Simpson across the U.S.
