Garage punk jazz funk on the low end of the dial gives way to delicate and elegant compositions as the band shows off without trying. These are not just players, these are musicians.

All Purpose Music is Butcher Brown’s full length label debut, due out on 10/21 on Jellowstone Records via Ropeadope. The album includes guest appearances from Nicholas Payton and Jon Bibbs. Butcher Brown delivers a state of exploration that everyone can feel. There’s a constant sense of adventure as you try to anticipate where they will go next. This is a heavy nod to the great Roy Ayers, with a prolific and enduring future in sight.
