Pre-digital music fans recall sitting on their bedroom floors and sifting through liner notes, immersing themselves in new albums.
While music consumption has advanced so much, the concept of album artwork has been left behind. We explore music through excel sheet-type players with little square album covers.
Yet, the artwork still matters to artists. Several have released "visual albums" in attempt to revive those rich experiences.
We'll discuss how musicians can use digital media to express their stories, and invite their fans to emotionally connect with their music, using the best platforms and practices that the digital world has to offer.
