With games like ROBLOX, Minecraft, Little Big Planet, Project Spark, and more rising to prominence in the gaming community, user-generated content has proved itself as more than a novelty, it is the vanguard of the next phase of game development. UGC is a great entry point to an indie game development career. Increasingly, individuals and small boutique studios are creating unique and engaging titles in sandbox environments that are drawing millions of players and earning substantial attention and income. For this panel, ROBLOX CEO and cofounder David Baszucki is joined by Chris Hunter, a top developer on ROBLOX who has earned millions of plays on his games, as well as members of the Project Spark and Minecraft communities to discuss the process of creating games in a community environment, and how UGC has propelled their indie development efforts.

David is the founder, co-creator and CEO of ROBLOX. Prior to founding ROBLOX, David was a private investor. Previously, David was VP and General Manager of MSC.Software, where he ran the desktop simulation division. Prior to MSC.Software, David founded Knowledge Revolution and grew it to be the volume leader in mechanical simulation software and physics educational software. Knowledge Revolution was acquired by MSC.Software. Prior to founding Knowledge Revolution, David worked as a product manager and electronic designer.
