Patent trolls are an expensive drain on innovation and on the US economy. They target developers, businesses and technology users in hope of a quick, lucrative settlement – because fighting them is even more costly. In this session, policy experts on patents will highlight the growing problem patent trolls pose; showcase the need for patent law reform; and discuss the weapons to battle these cash-hungry trolls. There is a lot of noise surrounding patent trolls and what the government, courts and entrepreneurs are doing to fight them. Learn how Congress is working in a bipartisan way to address the problem and what you can do to help.
