Ara Katz is the Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Spring, a new mobile marketplace where customers shop directly from a global community of brands, which includes an eclectic mix of luxury labels, emerging designers, fast-fashion, beauty and lifestyle. Prior to Spring, Ara was on the founding team of e-commerce company BeachMint, where she oversaw communications, content and storytelling. Throughout her tenure at BeachMint, Ara launched six direct to consumer brands through partnerships with Kate Bosworth, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Rachel Bilson, Justin Timberlake, Brooke Burke and Jessica Simpson. She remains on BeachMint's Advisory Board and advises other start-ups across the fashion, beauty, wellness and tech realms. With a background in storytelling and design, Ara was a Visiting Fellow at the MIT Media Lab's Center for Future Storytelling and was in the first fellowship class of CCA's inaugural DesignMBA program. Named as one of Glamour Magazine’s “35 under 35 in Fashion” in 2013, Ara was an independent film producer before her career in tech and fashion, producing features such as Paris, Je t’aime and the soon-to-be released Revenge of the Green Dragons. Gabrielle de Papp is the Senior Vice President Brand and Business Development, North America, at Farfetch, responsible for managing the Business Development and US Marketing and Public Relations teams. She represents Farfetch North America in all US-based marketing initiatives, working with the Chief Marketing Officer based in London, to devise event marketing and PR initiatives that cater to US customers and US boutiques.
Before joining Farfetch, de Papp was the Head of Corporate Public Relations at Neiman Marcus. She managed Corporate Communications, all event and fashion production for Neiman Marcus stores, charitable giving, and was responsible for establishing the social media division and strategy for all the company brands – Neiman Marcus, CUSP, and Last Call. Gillian Gorman Round was named President of The Lucky Group in August 2014 where she oversees all business functions for the brand including revenue generation, marketing, brand development and strategic partnerships. Prior to this, she served as General Manager and Senior Vice President of Lucky since joining the team in January 2013.
Ms. Gorman Round joined Condé Nast as one of the youngest executives to lead a brand at the publishing behemoth where under her leadership both print and digital revenue grew exponentially.
Her previous senior management experience at Condé Nast, Lancôme, and Yves Saint Laurent has been instrumental in creating successful revenue-generating programs, multi-faceted marketing strategies and optimized e-commerce platforms.
During her decade-long tenure at Lancôme, Gorman Round grew the business to become the largest brand in the L’Oreal Luxe portfolio. She was also the youngest Senior Vice President of Marketing in the company’s history managing the full brand marketing mix from product development and creation through execution, across all consumer touch points: retail partners, Lancome.com directly operated e-commerce as well as all third party retailer e-commerce sites and TV shopping networks.
At Yves Saint Laurent Gorman Round was charged with turning the Beauté business around from a double-digit loss to a profitable portfolio in just one year. Gorman Round also launched the beauty divisions e-commerce operation.
Prior to joining the Lucky team, Ms. Gorman Round held the position of Senior Vice President, Brand Development at Condé Nast. In this role she worked collaboratively with the various editorial, sales, business development, and technology teams to manage key business initiatives and maximize revenue generation.
Ms. Gorman Round graduated from The University of Edinburgh with an honors degree in Business Studies. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and their two children.
