End to Brogramming? How Women are Shaping Tech

Friday, March 13
5:00PM - 6:00PM

JW Marriott
Salon 1
110 E 2nd St

What would the tech industry look like if it were built by women? ELLE.com, a women's magazine website with nearly 10 million unique visitors and a mission to celebrate strong, successful, and stylish women, will lead a panel of female tech executives to discuss the state of "Women in Tech.” In a world where the “pink ghetto” is a reality and we see a serious lack of female representation in the industry, is tech hostile to females? How are these women changing brogrammer culture? What will the future look like as more women enter this career space? And what changes must be made to ensure that more women seek out careers in tech? Moderated by Elle.com Editor Leah Chernikoff, panelists Danae Ringelmann, Danika Laszuk, and Nellie Bowles will discuss the challenges they face as women working in a man’s world.
